The all-new Porsche Taycan Turbo 2020 is the Porsche's first all-electric (EV) sedan/saloon of the brand in its class. The new 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo has a more powerful and stylish appearance, combined with a large number of comfort details, aimed directly at other leading EV competitors. It is truly Porsche-worthy. Almost like the new 911 Turbo, you have expectations, and they are very well fulfilled here.
To take a look at the side of the completely new Porsche Taycan, it features white rim wheels with black details in the middle, similar to the Mission concept car. It has a wide sweeping roofline and especially at the rear/back (3/4).
This is very similar to 911 Turbo, but overall the proportions are most similar to the Porsche Panamera. It also has door handles that are similar to those of the Porsche 992 and 911 Turbo.
For an overview of the all-new 2020 Porsche Taycan's back, it features signature LED taillights that extend across almost the entire rear portion of the car. Speaking of the proportion (backward), it's very wide and very low to the ground.
The all-new 2020 Porsche Taycan models together produce 616 hp. (power / 460 kW), while the Turbo S individually produces 750 hp. (horsepower / 560 kW), and the base model (Turbo) produces 671 horsepower (500 kW).
The all-new 2020 Porsche Taycan features a two-speed automatic rear transmission and single-speed direct-drive transmission (front).
Torque & Top speed: In terms of torque output, the Porsche Turbo version generates a maximum of 626 lb-ft (849 Newton-meters) and the Turbo S generates up to 774 lb-ft (1049 Nm). There isn't another electric car that does that right now. What this allows is a really fast time from 0 to 60 in 2. 6 seconds in the case of the Turbo S, but also a top speed of 162mph (miles an hour).
Thus, this means that the Porsche Taycan Turbo can travel from zero to 60 miles (0-60mph) in three seconds (3.0 sec), and the Turbo S in just 2.6 seconds.
Now, Porsche claims that the Taycan is indeed the first lightweight on the market to accelerate over and over again without overheating. So now we have all these numbers off the road.

Design: Does the new Porsche Taycan EV Sedan 2020 offer something special in its updated design ?;-
Let's actually talk about what the new 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo looks like. The general appearance of this car is really nice, elegant and simple, describing Porsche's design in everything.
|
The Porsche Taycan is equipped with a Q's upfront: the front headlights, which, of course, we've seen in prototype, but there is no camouflage that hides anything; the ducts as well which bring in the air; and some nice carbon-fiber detailing down below. Overall, like I said, it just clean and simply makes sense for an EV.

2020 Porsche Taycan Price/Cost: (Taycan Turbo and Turbo S Prices)
The Porsche Taycan prices, however, are quite high. In the USA, the all-new 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo model costs more than $ 157,300, and the Turbo S model will costs you more than $ 187,600 at launch. However, the high-tech Porsche TaycanTurbo S can bring the price to more than $ 240,000. And if you want the quick charge-options, you'll have to pay extra. For the early adopters, that won't be a problem because they'll buy it anyway.
The Turbo S is so expensive partly because it has a luxurious trim. That's the same in a Panamera, but it will be too expensive for a lot of people, so they'll wait for the cheaper versions. Don't expect it to drop $60,000 or $70,000 in price though. It's more than a single project for Porsche, there's a lot more coming.
Both cars are expected to go on sale by the end of the year in December (2020).
